Photos are a nice way of looking back into history, but sometimes it’s just not convenient to get them and go through a big box of thousands of photos. Every now and than I will go through a few stacks of old photos. The photos are always good for a smile or two (or sometimes a tear). I have scanned a few highlights again and they can be found on the website at the several places. At this moment I have scanned a lot of photos with myself and a few of my dad. History
Efteling
One of the biggest theme parks in the Netherlands is the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel. Although our little boy is only 2 (and a bit) we thought he could handle it… and he did. He had a terrific time together with his cousin Teun. All the fairy tales, the attractions, the drinks… it was great. A few photos can be found here.
Stinky
From day one of his existence our little boy has one little friend, Stinky. Stinky is a little plush toy octopus and he cannot go anywhere without his little friend. Just to be save, we wanted to have a back-up Stinky. Unfortunately the green version of this little octopus was sold out… and everywhere I searched for it, I got the same response: “Nope, sorry, that one is sold out”.
Until last week I found someone selling it on Marktplaats. Yesterday the extra Stinky arrived and now he has two Stinkies. It looks as if he is happy with them… and when he is happy, his parents are happy.
Easter party
Yesterday there was a Easter party at the day care center. Bruce had lots of fun with all his friends. Painting eggs, finding chocolate eggs and eating all sorts of food. A few photos can be found in his photo-album.
Trimix CCR course
As most of you know I am a diver since 1998. That year I was invited to come along to Cancun, Mexico with my former girlfriend. I already knew diving in Mexico is very beautiful, so I decided to get a diving license before going there. I started my SSI Open Water Diver course in February 1998 with Holland Diving in Rotterdam.
The last few years I have been diving a lot in the Netherlands. Starting with diving in the Oostvoornse Meer, the Grevelingen Meer, the Oosterschelde and nowadays mostly in the North Sea searching for old shipwrecks. Also I have visited a few countries to dive, Germany, England, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Egypt, Ecuador, Thailand and Indonesia.
