Welcome to my reality

Wreckdiving

This saterday it’s finally North Sea diving time. We are going to make two divers. One at a ship called “De Vecht” and one on the “HMS Simoom”. The weather seems to be good, the waves minimal… how about the visibility?

Diving the North Sea is always a gamble… but we are confident it will be a great day for diving and hopefully we will be able to bring back some nice goodies.

To find more information about diving the North Sea go to the website of our diveteam North Sea Wreckdivers.

Work in progres

We have been living in our house for more than two years now, but we never upgraded our attic (my office). As of this week we are working hard of getting this room of the house into the 21th century. At this moment I have got several meters of (electrical) wires which don’t do anything… and another few who are connected with speakercable.

We also removed all the paper on the wall and the carpet. Now it’s time to clean things up and paint the room again… I’m really looking forward to the end result.

Birthday Bruce

This weekend our little boy became 1. What a year this has been. I can honestly say I have never slept as little as last year. Still we are confident that he will sleep ‘normal‘ within a few days (stay positive).

This weekend we have celebrated his birthday and it was a very nice birthday. He got loads of presents (which his cousin helped unpacking) and he loved his birthday cake. A few photos can be seen here.

Ninjutsu seminar

This weekend (19 & 20 June) I will be going to a Ninjutsu seminar from dr. Kacem Zoughari.

Dr. Kacem Zoughari is a well known Japanese History and Martial Arts researcher and practitioner. Born in Paris, France he began studying Martial Arts as a teenager and quickly began visiting Japan to further his studies. He has practiced Ninjutsu for over 20 years and is a personal student of Hatsumi Masaaki Soke and Ishizuka Tetsuji Sensei.

I justed started with this art… so this will be a new adventure.

Ladies Run 2010

Today the Ladies Run 2010 was held in Rotterdam. My girlfriend had signed up for the 5 kilometer run. Together with a few colleagues she enjoyed the nice weather and did a terrific job, a new personal record. She did run the 5 kilometer in 35 minutes and 42 seconds (8,403 km/hour).  I’m very proud of her. A few photos can be found here.

Invitations

Our marriage is approaching fast now. Last week I have tried on my suit for the first time… looking good (if I may say so myself). This weekend we have send our wedding invitations. Hopefully nobody will hurt him/her self.

On this site we will try and keep up will all the necessary information (directions, clothing etc.) anyone would need for our wedding day.

School

Today we recieved the school photos of our little bundle of mayhem. We may be a little prejudiced, but we think he is the most handsome boy of his group.

Darth Vader

Our little guy is growing bigger and bigger. He has one tooth now… and brushing it is much fun. The pain involved with getting more teeth is no fun, but that’s life.

Today he got another t-shirt to wear… and this one makes him very happy. As of today one of the baddest man in the universe, Darth Vader,  has a new fan!

Eurotek 2010

The EUROTEK 2010 organising team are proud to announce that a date has been set for this years event from the 16th & 17th of October. Popular speakers from the 2008 show as well as new speakers are being confirmed and the industry’s technical diving manufactures are currently talking to us. With the sad loss of one of EUROTEK’s co-founders Carl Spencer the future of the show at one stage was doubtful but that has all now changed and the future of the this bi annual event looks

more promising than ever before. Leigh Bishop and Roz Lunn remain on board as a key figures of the team and we have news that Mark Dixon & Cripsin Brake have been brought on board to take on key rolls as well. With that said we are excited to announce EUROTEK 2010 and take the conference onto the next level. The CCR panel will be back as will those exhibitors that are ready to display their latest advanced diving products. We will also guarantee you will get to hear and see the best speakers in advanced diving. Over the coming months we will continue to announce all signed exhibitors and speakers for the ‘Twenty Ten’ event as they they come on board and, of course, ensure you are updated with everything that we have lined up for the big event.

Foreign country

Yesterday our little guy went to Belgium to visit Remko, Esther and Ruben. Dennis, Kirsten and Niels would be there too, so he would have two other little boys to play with.

He was very interested in all the things the other little boys were doing. Unfortunately he is still to little (can’t crawl or walk) to join in the fun.

The garden was very interesting, but the barrier in between the living room and the garden was a bit strange. Well, Esther, at least you can wash your windows again ;-)
