Easter party
Yesterday there was a Easter party at the day care center. Bruce had lots of fun with all his friends. Painting eggs, finding chocolate eggs and eating all sorts of food. A few photos can be found in his photo-album.
Trimix CCR course
As most of you know I am a diver since 1998. That year I was invited to come along to Cancun, Mexico with my former girlfriend. I already knew diving in Mexico is very beautiful, so I decided to get a diving license before going there. I started my SSI Open Water Diver course in February 1998 with Holland Diving in Rotterdam.
The last few years I have been diving a lot in the Netherlands. Starting with diving in the Oostvoornse Meer, the Grevelingen Meer, the Oosterschelde and nowadays mostly in the North Sea searching for old shipwrecks. Also I have visited a few countries to dive, Germany, England, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Egypt, Ecuador, Thailand and Indonesia.
Pterois Coaching & Consultancy
A dream has come true… I am owner of my own company, Pterois Coaching & Consultancy is finally alive. At this moment I am working hard to get everything in order. Registration at the chamber of commerce in Rotterdam, create a business style, build a website, administration and lots more….
I love the feeling of being an entrepreneur… but now comes the hard part getting a paid assignment. I am confident I will find something of my interest.
Looking for a new job
Since the beginning of this year I have gotten a new experience. I no longer have a job. After 8,5 years working as a consultant it’s now time to think of my future. What do I want, where do I want to be in 10 years or when I look back at my working life at the age of 70… will I be proud of what I have accomplished?’
Although being fired is not something I was looking forward to, it has positive sides as well. The last few weeks I have been working on my thesis. Finally some progress and as soon as I have my subject clear on my visor I will let you know.
Second I can spend as much time on our little boy as I want to. I bring him to daycare and pick him up. I am really happy to be a big part of his life right now.
For now it’s just looking for job opportunities and thinking of other things that might be a challenge in the near future. As soon as I know more, you will know.
Wildschütz 2010
It was diving time again… we went to Germany this weekend. We went diving in steinbruch Wildschütz. The weather was freezing, the snow white… but the water was still 6 degrees Celsius above zero.
Wildschütz is a former stone quarry that has been flooded since it went out of production. The lake is now 74 meter deep and has very clear water. It was a weekend with a lot of fun and we will be back!
