Our family has gotten bigger again, as of yesterday 28th of January our little girl has entered our world. She is a very lovely girl, weighing 3.438 grams and 44 centimetres long. The colours of her eyes and hair is undecided at the moment. The first night has been a good one, some little noises, but no real troubles. Day two has just begun and she is sleeping like a baby. Mother and daughter are both healthy and her big brother Bruce is as proud as he can be. Photos will be available in her own little corner of our website ==>.
History
Photos are a nice way of looking back into history, but sometimes it’s just not convenient to get them and go through a big box of thousands of photos. Every now and than I will go through a few stacks of old photos. The photos are always good for a smile or two (or sometimes a tear). I have scanned a few highlights again and they can be found on the website at the several places. At this moment I have scanned a lot of photos with myself and a few of my dad. Trimix CCR course
As most of you know I am a diver since 1998. That year I was invited to come along to Cancun, Mexico with my former girlfriend. I already knew diving in Mexico is very beautiful, so I decided to get a diving license before going there. I started my SSI Open Water Diver course in February 1998 with Holland Diving in Rotterdam.
The last few years I have been diving a lot in the Netherlands. Starting with diving in the Oostvoornse Meer, the Grevelingen Meer, the Oosterschelde and nowadays mostly in the North Sea searching for old shipwrecks. Also I have visited a few countries to dive, Germany, England, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Turkey, Egypt, Ecuador, Thailand and Indonesia.

A dream has come true… I am owner of my own company, Pterois Coaching & Consultancy is finally alive. At this moment I am working hard to get everything in order. Registration at the chamber of commerce in Rotterdam, create a business style, build a website, administration and lots more….
I love the feeling of being an entrepreneur… but now comes the hard part getting a paid assignment. I am confident I will find something of my interest.
Looking for a new job
Since the beginning of this year I have gotten a new experience. I no longer have a job. After 8,5 years working as a consultant it’s now time to think of my future. What do I want, where do I want to be in 10 years or when I look back at my working life at the age of 70… will I be proud of what I have accomplished?’
Although being fired is not something I was looking forward to, it has positive sides as well. The last few weeks I have been working on my thesis. Finally some progress and as soon as I have my subject clear on my visor I will let you know.
Second I can spend as much time on our little boy as I want to. I bring him to daycare and pick him up. I am really happy to be a big part of his life right now.
For now it’s just looking for job opportunities and thinking of other things that might be a challenge in the near future. As soon as I know more, you will know.
