Jane Passenier
Our family has gotten bigger again, as of yesterday 28th of January our little girl has entered our world. She is a very lovely girl, weighing 3.438 grams and 44 centimetres long. The colours of her eyes and hair is undecided at the moment. The first night has been a good one, some little noises, but no real troubles. Day two has just begun and she is sleeping like a baby. Mother and daughter are both healthy and her big brother Bruce is as proud as he can be. Photos will be available in her own little corner of our website ==>.
Efteling
One of the biggest theme parks in the Netherlands is the Efteling in Kaatsheuvel. Although our little boy is only 2 (and a bit) we thought he could handle it… and he did. He had a terrific time together with his cousin Teun. All the fairy tales, the attractions, the drinks… it was great. A few photos can be found here.
Stinky
From day one of his existence our little boy has one little friend, Stinky. Stinky is a little plush toy octopus and he cannot go anywhere without his little friend. Just to be save, we wanted to have a back-up Stinky. Unfortunately the green version of this little octopus was sold out… and everywhere I searched for it, I got the same response: “Nope, sorry, that one is sold out”.
Until last week I found someone selling it on Marktplaats. Yesterday the extra Stinky arrived and now he has two Stinkies. It looks as if he is happy with them… and when he is happy, his parents are happy.
Looking for a new job
Since the beginning of this year I have gotten a new experience. I no longer have a job. After 8,5 years working as a consultant it’s now time to think of my future. What do I want, where do I want to be in 10 years or when I look back at my working life at the age of 70… will I be proud of what I have accomplished?’
Although being fired is not something I was looking forward to, it has positive sides as well. The last few weeks I have been working on my thesis. Finally some progress and as soon as I have my subject clear on my visor I will let you know.
Second I can spend as much time on our little boy as I want to. I bring him to daycare and pick him up. I am really happy to be a big part of his life right now.
For now it’s just looking for job opportunities and thinking of other things that might be a challenge in the near future. As soon as I know more, you will know.
Sinterklaas
Today Sinterklaas visited Bruce at school. Although a bit scary, an old man and two Zwarte Pieten… he really liked the candy and 
off course the present he got from Sinterklaas. A few photos can be found in his schoolphoto album.
